Responsibilities
Ensure that the organisation’s financial resources (cost, balance sheet, and capital) are allocated efficiently and returns are optimised.
Support the Personal Banking CFO to deliver financial and commercial analysis for day‑to‑day and longer‑term decision‑making.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering clarity of purpose, capability, and engagement.
Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and planning requirements for the division, acting as the key interface between the PB CFO team and Group Finance.
Develop and implement strategies to optimise P&L and Balance Sheet management in alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
Provide high‑quality, timely and insightful analysis of revenue, balance‑sheet trends, P&L, capital metrics and competitor landscape to inform decision‑making at all levels.
Partner with Product & Distribution Finance partners to identify, evaluate and deliver revenue and productivity initiatives.
Serve as the primary interface between the division and Group Finance for all matters relating to forecasting and planning.
Interface with the business and Treasury Capital Management on capital metrics and initiatives to reduce RWAs, including leading the monthly Capital Forum.
Oversee change management to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial planning.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, decision support and insightful analysis to support commercial decision‑making.
Ability to engage, collaborate, influence stakeholders at all levels and drive change across complex environments.
Excellent written communication, with experience drafting and contributing to board‑level presentations and reports.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Experience in leading teams and building collaborative relationships across finance and business functions.
Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally CA/CPA qualified.
