Mechanical Fitter – Kalgoorlie (Onsite)
Weir Minerals is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to work on the WARMAN MCR‐M 760 HF+ mill pump – the largest mill circuit pump in the world. This is a rare opportunity to work hands‐on with a world‐benchmark rotating equipment piece.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviours and support a world‐class safety culture
* Tackle breakdowns across sites, diagnose issues fast and bring equipment back online
* Perform high‐precision work on rotating equipment, including pumps, valves and cyclones
* Strip, rebuild and overhaul complex components, assess wear, diagnose faults and machine castings to tight tolerances
* Work from detailed engineering drawings and support shutdowns across the Goldfields region
* Collaborate with Leading Hands and management to deliver top‐tier workmanship
* Maintain and rebuild the WARMAN MCR‐M 760 HF+ to global benchmark performance
Qualifications
* Tertiary trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting
* Proven fitting experience delivering high‐quality work within tight tolerances
* Relevant mine site experience required
* Current Driver's Licence – MR preferred
* Must be able to provide a current police check
* High‐risk forklift licence preferred
* Crane operator's ticket and dogger's ticket desirable
