Food Services Assistant | Buderim Hospital – Casual opportunities available
Location: Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast QLD
Remuneration: $36.27 p/hr (incl Casual Loading) + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)
Responsibilities
* As part of the Food Services team, provide high-quality service delivery to all customers including patients, staff and visitors. Responsibilities include basic meal preparation, portioning and serving of hot and cold meals, meal delivery and distribution, and cleaning.
* Assist with the timely assembly, delivery and collection of meals to patients and work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure all patients with special dietary requirements are addressed and met.
* Act as quality control to ensure all meals are presented to a high standard and appropriate for each patient, escalating issues where required.
* Ensure a high standard of hygiene and safety throughout the food services department that complies with the hospital food safety program.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HACCP principles in accordance with the hospital's food safety program.

* Previous experience in a food service or hospitality team environment, preferably within the healthcare industry.
* Understanding and competencies in manual handling, chemical use, hand hygiene and food safety.

* Basic numeracy, literacy, verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to read, measure accurately and perform basic math.
* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements, and to undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment.
