The Role
The Student Support Coordinator, in collaboration with other Youth Hub staff, will identify and deliver evidence-based social/emotional programs to support identified student learning needs. Prior experience supporting students through mentoring, school engagement and case management will be considered favourably.
The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Youth Hub team to assist in implementing intervention strategies, providing a proactive support service for students, their families and staff. This includes developing, implementing and monitoring preventative programs to support student success.
They will assist in case management of specific students or groups, focusing on attendance, behaviour and social/emotional developmental needs, identifying and resolving barriers to educational engagement to facilitate improved academic achievement. High quality outcomes are supported by exceptional interpersonal skills, building supportive and professional links between students, families, the college and community agencies.

* Strong organisational and communication skills, solution-focused, and the ability to work effectively in teams.
* Experience in using a range of software systems and interpreting data.
* Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, negotiate and resolve conflict.
* Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work autonomously and collaboratively.
* Research, conceptual and analytical skills with experience identifying problems and developing appropriate intervention strategies and support programs.
* Experience working with individuals or small groups of students facing difficulties.
* Knowledge of the youth sector, including local organisations and services.
