Based in tropical North Qld this is a client side opportunity requiring the services of an experienced Project Manager to manage delivery stage of a major highways program.
As the Project Manager you will work with and assist multi-disciplinary teams to successfully deliver the package of work which will consist of road widening, overtaking lanes, road safety and bridge construction
Role Summary
* Manage time, cost and quality of the project with values between $50m - $150m
* Provide guidance and advise on planning and design suitability of options, to ensure program / project success is achieved
* Investigate and resolve complex issues with associated with projects
* Procure, evaluate, engage and manage consultancies to deliver various engineering, design and construction works associated with the package of work
* Manage and report on contract performance by ensuring best practice is achieved
* Manage internal and external stakeholders, expectations and issues of all parties
To be suitable for the role you will have:
* 5+ years project management experience within road / bridge construction, preferably in a D&C environment on TMR projects
* Experience in Greenfield and Brownfield road construction environments, preferably across road safety, road widening, overtaking lane and bridge construction
* Experience working to TMR specifications standards and contract managementBackground in both design and / or construction
* Ability to be based full-time in North Qld, preferably Cairns with Townsville as an option (no FIFO etc)
* Bachelor of Engineering / RPEQ or Bachelor of Engineering Technology
* Options for full time or long term contract engagements
* Australian working rights
