We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Ophthalmologist who has completed a residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology to join a specialist referral practice in Melbourne, Victoria.

Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information: Join a two-specialist, five-veterinarian ophthalmology-only practice located in Melbourne. A dedicated ophthalmology building serves a busy referral-based practice with a high medical and surgical caseload, including zoo animals, exotics, and horses. Increasing demand has created the need for a third trained Veterinary Ophthalmologist.

Departments: You will be part of a collaborative environment, assisting in the training of residents and working alongside a dedicated, highly trained nursing team that plays an integral role in practice operations.

Equipment: This animal hospital utilizes the latest state-of-the-art equipment and specialized techniques, including:

Abbott - AMO WhiteStar Phaco machine with Fusion Fluidics

Dedicated Ultrasound machine

Staffing Levels: The team consists of experienced professionals committed to delivering the best and most up-to-date care for patients. Weekly rounds and journal clubs are held to ensure ongoing professional development.

Type of Individual Sought: We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Ophthalmologist who holds a Bachelor degree or higher, has at least two years of employment experience, and is eligible for registration in Victoria. The ideal candidate will have passed the Specialist Examination and should be interested in a long-term association with the practice.

Qualifications Required: Completed a residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology and hold eligibility for registration in Victoria.
