Lead a passionate FDV team at our Middle Swan house, supporting young women and children with safety, dignity and empowerment.
What You’ll Be Doing (In a Nutshell)
Client Coordination
- Support the team and young women through intake, assessments, planning and advocacy.
- Help assess referrals and ensure safety plans and risk assessments are spot on.
- Keep improving how we assess, record and deliver support.
- Jump in for Support Worker shifts when needed.
- Encourage reflective practice and a high‑quality service mindset.
Program Administration
- Keep the program running smoothly and compliantly.
- Recommend resources and support with file management.
- Make sure case notes are timely, clear and consistent.
Team Leadership
- Mentor, motivate and support a team of Support Workers.
- Handle supervision, recruitment and performance (with guidance).
- Build a positive, respectful and solution‑focused team culture.
- Communicate clearly between the team and Senior Coordinator.
- Support organisational change and encourage innovative thinking.
The need-to-have… Criteria
- Robust background in Youth Work and/or FDV services.
- Understanding of the issues impacting on young people experiencing FDV, homelessness and/or at risk.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from the LGBTIQA+ community and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Great communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Organised, tech‑savvy, good with admin and able to juggle priorities.
Formalities
- Working with Children Clearance.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current Driver’s licence.
- First aid certificate (HLTAID009 and HLTAID011) or willingness to obtain at own expense.
