Electrical Engineering Technician Job Description
* Main Responsibilities: Installation, maintenance, repair and testing of specialized electrical and electronic components in hazardous area mining equipment.
* Design Support: Collaborate with engineers to design and layout electrical installations and circuitry on cabling systems and electrical control systems.
* Workshop Activities: Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify and repair electrical components to meet regulatory requirements.
* Documentation: Complete statutory inspections and documentation, accurately recording and reporting compliance with regulations and safety standards.
* Qualifications: Possess a sound understanding of flameproof protection level requirements and be willing to obtain AS60079 EEHA and AS3800 Overhaul and Repair qualifications.
Requirements: Relevant trade certification or two years minimum relevant employment experience or three years of relevant experience in substitution for the formal qualification.
