The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
* Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
* Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install building materials including timber, steel framing, formwork and cladding.
* Construct and install frameworks, partitions, floors, doors, windows, staircases and structural components.
* Install fixtures and fittings such as cabinetry, skirting, architraves and hardware.
* Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
* Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to meet project deadlines.
* Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
* Carry out repairs, alterations and maintenance on existing structures.
* Ensure efficient use of materials to minimise waste and control costs.
* Follow site schedules and contribute to achieving construction milestones.
