TRILITY is seeking an energetic and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering essential water and wastewater solutions based in our Yatala office.
The role We’re looking for a hands‑on Project Engineer to manage design, build, and commissioning of water treatment and chemical dosing systems. You’ll work with clients, designers, fabricators, and site teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities Support the Project Manager in delivering projects from design through to commissioning.
Manage smaller projects independently, including planning, coordination, cost control, and reporting.
Prepare and maintain project documentation — including programs, risk registers, and progress reports.
Interpret client specifications, drawings, and tenders to develop technically compliant and cost-effective solutions.
Prepare or review design documentation such as P&IDs;, general arrangements, equipment lists, and control philosophies.
Develop technical specifications and procurement documentation for materials, equipment, and subcontracted works.
Evaluate supplier proposals for technical compliance and cost efficiency.
Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to maintain project schedules.
Plan and oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with WHS, quality, and environmental requirements.
Lead or support commissioning, testing, and system handover.
Serve as a key technical contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout project execution.
Build and maintain robust client relationships to support ongoing collaboration and future work.
Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply with company and statutory WHS and environmental standards.
Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking activities.
Identify, cost, and manage variations in line with contract requirements.
Assist in ensuring projects are delivered within budget and commercial targets are achieved.
What we are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Process Engineering
3–8 years’ experience in water treatment, chemical dosing, or related utilities projects
Strong understanding of pumps, valves, instrumentation, and control systems
Ability to read and mark up P&IDs; and engineering drawings
Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and project schedules
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong commitment to safety and quality
