About the role
As a Client Compliance Officer within Line1 Operations, you will help Apex Superannuation colleagues meet legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity and professionalism. You will provide subject‐matter expertise and guidance to operational teams to ensure practices align with policies, standards and regulatory obligations.
Job Responsibilities
* Respond to internal business queries via email and telephone regarding superannuation fund scheme policies, compliance and legislative items.
* Complete various review activities and provide input and/or sign‐off on the accuracy of documents, including fact sheets, standard operating procedures, business requirement documents and other internal material to ensure compliance with legislative and contractual obligations.
* Support the business on defined benefit and fund design activities from a subject‐matter expertise perspective.
* Keep up to date with changes in legislation across the superannuation industry.
* Provide regulatory impact assessment on incidents and support the business on determining the best approach to remediation.
* Contribute to the team's development by communicating regularly with individual team members.
Key Requirements
* Demonstrated relevant experience in the superannuation, banking and finance, insurance or similar industry.
* Extensive knowledge of superannuation industry products and services and their application.
* Basic understanding of Line1 Compliance requirements and standards.
* Experience working with Defined Benefit Superannuation accounts.
* Experience in using online information systems, external portals and other applications such as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
* Highly developed research, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Ability to successfully manage competing priorities within a required timeframe.
* Highly developed oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
* ASFA RG146 Superannuation qualification or equivalent.
