The Chance
As an E-Commerce Dispatch 2IC, you will be the right-hand support to our E-Commerce Dispatch Manager.
You will assist in leading a high-performing team with seamless fulfillment, dispatch, and delivery of online orders. Your primary responsibility is to ensure orders are checked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time while driving efficiency and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also assist in managing warehouse staff, coordinate logistics, and optimise workflow to maintain an effective, high-performing dispatch operation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Support
- Work closely with the Dispatch Manager to run daily dispatch operations.
- Step up and lead the team when the manager is unavailable.
- Allocate workflow, prioritise urgent orders, and keep the floor running smoothly.
- Supporting and guiding the team
Team Support & Development
- Train new and existing dispatch team members.
- Provide guidance, support, and calm direction during busy periods.
- Help create a positive, accountable, supportive team culture.
- Process, pick, pack, and dispatch orders with precision and care.
- Maintain KPI targets while never compromising quality.
- Ensure documentation, labelling, and courier handover are completed accurately and on time.
Inventory Awareness & Coordination
- Assist with cycle counts and stock control.
- Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or issues clearly and promptly.
- Work collaboratively with Inventory Control to maintain stock flow efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all WHS guidance and lead by example.
- Keep the workspace organised, safe, and clean.
- Promote safe manual handling and correct equipment use.
This is a role for someone who likes ownership, pace, and leadership through action.
What You Bring
- 2+ years experience in dispatch, warehousing, or logistics.
- Process-driven mindset with a passion for optimising operations and meeting KPIs.
- Proven ability to solve problems quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Confident working in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, steady under pressure, and proactive.
- Comfortable guiding or supporting others on the floor.
- Can lift up to 20kg and perform ongoing manual handling
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, and e-commerce platforms.
- A team-oriented approach with excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Forklift License (or willing to obtain one).
