About the Role
Xylem is looking for a Service Technician to join our team in Kalgoorlie. This is a full‐time, locally based role – no FIFO. You will perform both scheduled and emergency service work, including the disassembly, overhaul, repair, testing, and inspection of a variety of Xylem systems and products.
Duties
* Service, repair and overhaul pump sets and related equipment
* Install, test and commission pumps to operational standards before dispatch
* Respond to emergency breakdowns and scheduled field service across Goldfields region
* Communicate expert service advice to customers and internal teams
* Prepare and maintain accurate service records and documentation
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification — fitter and turner, mech fitter, mechanic, small engine mechanic or electrical trades (essential)
* Prior workshop or field service experience in a similar mechanical role
* Exposure to pump systems or heavy mechanical equipment (preferred)
* MR licence and forklift ticket (desirable)
* Strong attention to detail and customer communication skills
