Role Description

We are seeking a friendly, detail‐oriented and organised Office Manager for a full‐time or part‐time, on‐site position located in Hobart, Tasmania. The Office Manager will oversee the day‐to‐day operations of the office, maintain office organisation, manage tasks, assist accountants and ensure efficient use of resources, especially time. The role also includes providing excellent customer service and supporting the accounting team with high‐quality administrative assistance. The person we are looking for will have worked in a public accounting practice for a number of years and understand accounting and bookkeeping. Ideally the person will have knowledge of preparation of compliance documents e.g. Income Tax Returns, FBT Returns, Activity Statements etc. and have experience in lodging them.

Qualifications
* Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and the ATO.
* Proficiency in office administration, including managing files, scheduling, handling correspondence, reception, answering phones and supervising office operations.
* Experience with office equipment, such as computers, printers, photocopiers, and other tools necessary for effective office functionality.
* Excellent organisational and time‐management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
* Familiarity with public accounting practice services.
* Proficiency in office software such as Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Office, Excel and other accounting tools.
* Diploma or equivalent qualification in accounting, business, administration or a related field is preferred.
