OUR TEAM
Our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for growth. Within our logistics services business there are 17+ depots throughout Australia, allowing various development and progression opportunities.
YOUR ROLE
In this role, you'll operate specialised heavy machinery to safely load, unload, transport, and stack containers and cargo across the port and container yard. Working within a safety‐first environment, you'll play an important role in supporting daily logistics operations and ensuring cargo movements are completed efficiently and compliantly. This position suits someone who enjoys hands‐on work, operates well under pressure, and takes pride in maintaining high operational and safety standards.
A Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
* Operating Reach Stackers, Side Loaders, forklifts, and associated container handling equipment
* Loading containers and cargo onto trucks and coordinating safe movements throughout the yard
* Managing container stacking and storage within busy operational areas
* Supporting the handling and movement of hazardous or specialised cargo
* Conducting pre‐start inspections and identifying equipment maintenance requirements
* Assisting with stock movements, inventory activities, and operational documentation
* Following strict safety procedures, PPE requirements, and compliance standards
* Working closely with transport drivers, logistics teams, and depot personnel to coordinate daily operations
* Supporting housekeeping, safety initiatives, and operational readiness across the site
Your Experience
* Proven experience operating Reach Stackers and/or Side Loaders
* Experience working around container movements and transport operations
* Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
* Previous experience in a Defence and/or Port environment would be highly regarded
