GPS Machine Control Field Technician (Perth Based)
Tracc Civil is an industry leading civil construction company based in Bibra Lake, delivering high quality projects across the Perth Metropolitan Area.
As a GPS Machine Control Field Technician you will be the technical link between machines and operators, ensuring everything runs smoothly on site while staying ahead of the curve with emerging technology. Your responsibilities include installing, calibrating and maintaining machine control systems across a broad fleet of civil and earthmoving equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Install GPS job files on machines and swap GPS systems and components
* Perform stocktakes and manage asset records
* Train operators on machine control software and LPS systems
* Troubleshoot GPS/LPS issues on site
* Research and assess new GPS technology and suppliers
* Calibrate machines and handle documentation
* Organise workshop and storeroom assets
* Set up and maintain GPS base stations on projects
Equipment Involved
Graders, Skid Steers, Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Scrapers, Dozers.

Key Requirements
* White Card
* Solid GPS & LPS know‐how in civil construction
* Handy with tools and quick on problem‐solving
* Clear communicator able to train and support crews
* Organised, detail‐driven with a proactive focus on safety and quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Interest in technology and innovation
Nice to Have
* Experience with heavy equipment repairs (mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic)
* Exposure to mobile plant or machine control systems
* Understanding of surveying techniques and technologies
