Salary: $65,000 to $75,000
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our busy kitchen team. This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and takes pride in producing high quality meals.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items to a consistent standard following recipe
* Assist with daily food preparation and stock rotation
* Maintain comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, equipment, and current food trends
* Provide input into new dishes
* Store and label food correctly according to hygiene and safety standards and to control and minimise waste and loss
* Check the presentation of menu items before serving
* Maintain a clean, protected, and organised kitchen
* Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during peak service times
About You
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen
* AQF Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management
* Strong understanding of food safety standards
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality
* Availability for weekend and evening shifts
