Job Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Dual Trade Fitter & Electrician or Industrial Electrician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our maintenance team. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‐paced industrial environments and enjoys troubleshooting and improving high‐speed automated equipment.
Key Skills & Experience
* Electrical and Automation: Unrestricted Victorian A‐Grade Electrical Licence; strong electrical fault‐finding capability, including contactors, relays, sensors and field devices; experience programming and configuring VFDs, drives, scanners, electronic control modules; proficiency in PLCs, HMIs and industrial control systems.
* Mechanical & Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults; perform preventative maintenance and equipment audits; hands‐on mechanical skills such as lubrication, belt tracking, replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors and gearboxes; maintain mechanical and pneumatic systems.
* Continuous Improvement & Reliability: Proactively reduce downtime and waste; conduct root‐cause analysis; support and participate in maintenance and improvement projects.
Qualifications
* Qualified Dual Trade Fitter/Electrician or experienced Industrial Electrician with PLC and automation skills.
* Background in FMCG environments, ideally with high‐speed packaging or processing equipment.
* Unrestricted Victorian A‐Grade Electrical Licence.
* Experience maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems.
