Process Engineering Manager
This is a challenging and rewarding leadership role that involves developing, leading, and growing a team of Process Engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strategies that align with the department's mission and goals, analyzing current processes to identify opportunities for improvement, and ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with Cochlear's quality management system (QMS) and international regulations.
The Process Engineering department is responsible for developing stable and reliable manufacturing processes within Cochlear and at suppliers of manufactured components. This includes supporting the supply chain and R&D group project execution by developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable, and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for new and commercially available products.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Recruit, develop, and lead a team of Process Engineers
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders globally
* Develop long-term strategies that align with the department's mission and goals
* Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement
* Support the development of stable and reliable manufacturing processes within Cochlear and at suppliers of manufactured components
* Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with Cochlear's QMS and international regulations
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
* Leadership experience
* Strong communication skills, including the ability to manage difficult conversations and resolving conflicts
* Experience in GMP, DFA, LEAN manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodology
* Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach
