About The Role And Team
We have an opportunity for an Early Careers Co‐ordinator to join our growing People & Culture team. This role will be based in our Melbourne office and will require regular travel to our other offices across Australia.
The Early Careers Co‐ordinator will provide support in coordinating all Early Career programmes Hall & Wilcox offers, including the Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney Seasonal clerkship programmes, the First Nations Pathway programme, and the National Graduate programme. You will assist with the co‐ordination and implementation of these programmes.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of advertisements for all clerkship, graduate and First Nations recruitment
* Assisting with the review and screening of applications for clerkship, graduate and First Nations roles
* Organising and coordinating interviews for all clerkship, graduate and First Nations recruitment
* Conducting clerkship and graduate interviews
* Preparing employment agreements for all clerks, graduates and First Nations clerks
* Assisting the Early Careers Advisor and Early Careers Manager with Early Careers programmes, including rotations, roles and responsibilities (legal assistant, buddy, mentor and partner) and rotation review processes
* Assisting with the national clerkship, graduate and First Nations induction programmes
* Assisting with the coordination of national Practical Legal Training as required
* Other ad‐hoc administrative tasks when required
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
* At least 12 months of experience in a similar role (ideally in professional services) – preferred but not essential
* Strong attention to detail
* Client service focus (internal clients)
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop rapport and build strong relationships with stakeholders
* A team player who enjoys working co‐operatively as part of a collegiate team, and can also work autonomously
* Strong ethics and integrity, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, mainly Word, Outlook and Excel
