Statewide Rehabilitation Services (SRS) is a statewideprogram that provides young people in custody and the community withdevelopmentally targeted and multi-systemic offence-specific and offencerelated assessments and interventions.
The Opportunity
- Fixedterm, full-time position until June 30 th 2027 based inMelbourne.
- Supportthe development, implementation and monitoring of clinical assessments,frameworks, policies and procedures relating to the delivery ofcriminogenic and non-criminogenic interventions for young people in YouthJustice who are on bail and remand.
- Drivequality assurance practices and support evaluation of service delivery,maintaining clinical integrity and evidenced-based approaches for thetarget cohorts
- Manageand deliver time limited projects relating to specific policy or programissues related to the rehabilitation services, with a focus on youngpeople on the SRS Waitlist, on bail and remand.
- Ensureinterventions and services are integrated with other service deliveryrequirements, are responsive to specific groups, and are tailored to thecomplexity of their environments.
- Facilitateongoing clinical service and quality improvements around programs andservices of rehabilitation services to ensure ongoing alignment withservice standards and evidence based best practice.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experiencein the development of policy advice and/or delivery of clinical programsand services within correctional and/or complex health systems.Understanding of the key issues impacting on clinical service delivery foryoung people, including understanding of best practice young offenderrehabilitation principles.
- Abilityto identify policy and program needs including understanding riskmanagement principles.
- Experiencein offender rehabilitation or forensic allied health is required.
- Generalregistration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health PractitionerRegulation Agency (AHPRA); or
- Currentmembership with the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW); or
- Credentialedas a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental HealthNurses; or
- Registrationas an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board ofAustralia.
You will be required to obtain a Working with ChildrenCheck, which you will need to maintain for the period of employment.
