The Role
We are seeking dynamic and caring Learning Assistants to join our Learning Strategies Team at the Caulfield Campus.
You will join a supportive team, working under the direction of classroom teachers on a daily basis to assist students with specific learning needs. As a valued team member, you will make a positive impact on students' experiences and contribute to our school community.
We have the following opportunities available
* 6-month fixed term, part time (0.6 FTE), term time only (39 weeks per year).
* 6-month fixed term, part time (1.0 FTE), term time only (39 weeks per year).
* These opportunities range from 3–5 days per week, from 8:15 am – 4:15 pm, supporting year levels 7 – 12.
Key Duties
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other assistants in the development and implementation of a student-centred educational programme.
* Use strategies based on knowledge of students' physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.
* Maintain daily written documentation on relevant behaviour and learning as required.
* Support individual students across different year levels.
* Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills and Experience
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience in a school setting would be advantageous.
* Qualifications in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
* Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent.
* Current or be willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
