The company services residential, commercial, and industrial clients, requiring reliable and compliant security infrastructure.
The Role
The Electronic Equipment Trades Worker is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic security systems, including alarm systems, CCTV, access control systems, and associated equipment.
The role involves diagnosing faults, conducting system testing, and ensuring all installations and repairs comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $80,000 plus superannuation, based in Burwood, VIC.
The Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment and systems including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems
* Examine and test machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to diagnose faults
* Adjust, repair, and replace worn or defective parts, wiring, and electronic components
* Install and configure electronic instruments and security systems for residential and commercial clients
* Monitor system performance and ensure functionality of electronic security systems
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment
* Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams
* Ensure all installations and repairs comply with Australian standards and safety regulations
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, faults identified, and repairs completed
* Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system usage and maintenance
* Coordinate with internal teams and contractors for installation and servicing projects
* Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime
* Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in safe working condition
The Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 2 years' experience as an Electronic Equipment Trades Worker or similar role in security or electronics environments
* At least 2 years' experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
* Minimum 2 years' experience diagnosing faults and repairing electronic equipment and control systems
* At least 2 years' experience interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system specifications
* At least 2 years' experience using testing instruments and diagnostic tools for electronic systems
* Strong knowledge of electronic systems, circuit components, and control systems
* Ability to troubleshoot faults and perform repairs efficiently in onsite and workshop environments
* Good understanding of safety standards, compliance requirements, and installation procedures
* Good communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and team members
* Ability to work independently and manage service schedules
* High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Valid Driver's Licence
