Wood is currently recruiting for a hands‐on and energetic Commercial Lead role to join our team in Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth.
Reporting functionally to the VP - Commercial APAC, the role performs the full range of commercial activities: preparation and negotiation of commercial pricing models, commercial inputs to proposals, pre‐ and post‐award contract reviews, contract administration and commercial close‐out.

Responsibilities
* Build‐up, preparation and negotiation of tender‐specific commercial pricing models, commercial inputs to proposals, pre‐ and post‐award contract reviews, contract administration and commercial close‐out.
* Manage the tender governance process for the Asia‐Pacific East region.
* Develop and steer a team of commercial advisors with in‐depth commercial and cross‐functional expertise to support the assigned business.
* Maximise commercial performance while managing business/project risk (pre‐ and post‐contract).
* Commercialise Asia‐Pacific East region service offerings to support business growth and strategy.
* Embed effective commercial governance and assurance across the Asia‐Pacific East region.
* Provide direction to team members in commercial activities during the contract life cycle from tender input through contract delivery to commercial close‐out.
* Implement commercial strategy for the region and ensure alignment with business unit strategy.
* Ensure compliance with relevant commercial/contracting policies.
* Resolve disputes/claims and cash collection issues.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying or a similar discipline, or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar leadership/management role.
* Extensive and varied work experience giving deep knowledge of key contractual and commercial management concepts and principles.
* Excellent knowledge and experience of contractual structures, commercial processes and procedures.
* Experience in negotiation and claims dispute resolution, both written and face‐to‐face.
