Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work with individuals to promote independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities through therapeutic interventions. This role involves assessment, planning, and implementation of tailored therapy programs to support clients in achieving their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities and needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance daily living skills.
Provide therapy to improve functional independence in areas such as self-care, mobility, and home management.
Recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to support client safety and independence.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
Educate clients and families on techniques and strategies to support therapy goals.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Current registration with (Insert relevant professional body, e.g., AHPRA in Australia).
Experience working in (insert relevant setting, e.g., aged care, disability, paediatrics).
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transport (if travel is required).
Desirable:
Experience with NDIS participants or aged care clients.
Knowledge of assistive technology and home modifications.
Experience in community-based or outreach services.
Multilingual abilities are a plus.
