BAKER of THINGS is offering a rare opportunity to lead and grow an ambitious bakery operation across multiple sites.

Based in Richmond, BAKER of THINGS produces authentic sourdough bread, exceptional cakes, sandwiches, and seasonal food with a focus on consistency, quality and craftsmanship. We are modern bakers who balance passion and professionalism with a sense of play — proud of our strong community, supportive team culture and genuinely positive workplace.

As an expanding business, this role will play a key part in shaping the future direction of our bakery — from product development and production systems to team culture and operational excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for a chef or senior production leader who understands that great food is not just about creativity. It's about consistency, organisation, training, costing, quality control and building systems that allow great products to be made every day.

We are seeking an experienced baker who is:

Creative and quality driven

Commercially minded with strong operational awareness

Good understanding of sourdough bread, cakes and savoury production

Passionate about leading and developing teams

Minimum 5+ years of team leadership experience is required

Qualifications in commercial cookery preferred

Calm, organised and hands‐on in a fast‐paced environment

Excited by growth and the opportunity to help build something meaningful

This role is ideal for someone ready to step into senior leadership and help drive consistency, innovation and excellence across multiple locations.

Working closely with company directors, you will:

Lead bakery teams

Oversee production across sites

Develop seasonal and signature products

Maintain exceptional quality standards

Improve systems, workflow and efficiency

Help foster a positive, respectful and collaborative culture
