Security Manager – Senior Security Specialist
We are seeking a suitably qualified security specialist to join the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman (OFWO) as a Security Manager. The role is available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Hobart. Full‐time and part‐time hours are available. Offers will be based on performance and operational requirements.

The OFWO is an independent statutory office established by the Fair Work Act 2009. Our statutory functions include:
* Providing education, assistance, advice and guidance to employers, employees, outworkers and organisations
* Promoting and monitoring compliance with workplace laws
* Investigating breaches of the Fair Work Act
* Taking appropriate enforcement action
* Performing statutory functions efficiently, effectively, economically and ethically

* Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
About the Team
The security functions sit within the Accountability and Risk Team in the Corporate Services Branch. This team develops and manages organisational frameworks for corporate reporting, integrity, risk management, counter‐fraud, business continuity and physical and personnel security. It implements the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Framework, the Entity Governance Framework, the Business Continuity Framework and the Protective Security Governance Framework.
Typical Duties
* Oversee the physical security of all OFWO offices
* Lead the implementation of security awareness training for staff
* Ensure security clearance requirements are met across the organisation
* Provide specialist advice and recommendations on protective security matters
* Manage, monitor and strategically plan the agency's security environment in support of the PSPF
* Develop and maintain protective security policies and procedures
* Coordinate incident response and crisis management activities related to security
Selection Criteria
* Relevant security management experience in a governmental or large corporate environment
* Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, workplace law and protective security frameworks
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex security programmes and projects
* Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
