Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the South Australian Geotechnical and Tunnel team and play a pivotal role in developing and delivering innovative projects for our broad client base.
Responsibilities
* Undertake and lead all facets of geotechnical investigation and design projects.
* Mentor and guide junior team members fostering their professional development.
* Develop strong client relationships contributing to their long‐term success.
* Lead geotechnical investigations with strong technical oversight.
* Prepare geotechnical reports and provide design input.
* Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth.
* Contribute to and/or lead proposals and tenders.
* Build trusted client relationships and deliver smart, value‐driven solutions.
* Identify and manage project risks across technical and contractual areas.
* Produce clear, high‐quality technical reports and recommendations.
* Be based in our Adelaide office with flexibility and occasional travel, including remote and interstate opportunities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, or closely related discipline) or equivalent qualification.
* 5+ years' experience in geotechnical investigation, reporting and design.
* Strong communication skills and confidence in client‐facing roles.
* Experience mentoring junior team members.
* Demonstrated ability to apply modelling software and/or analytical techniques (such as PLAXIS, FLAC, SLIDE, gINT, or similar) to solve complex geotechnical challenges.
