What you will do
* Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine window installation requirements and methods.
* Work with a variety of materials including timber, composites, and metal components. Ordering necessary materials and preparing layouts.
* Measure, cut, and assemble window frames and related structures using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Install timber, aluminium, and other types of window frames with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ensure windows in stock are properly inspected, prepared, and fitted according to project specifications.
* Perform sealing, finishing, and adjustments to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity.
* Repair and replace existing windows and frames when required.
* Maintain a clean and safe worksite, adhering strictly to Australian safety standards and building codes.
* Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to high quality standards.
What you should have
* Relevant carpentry qualification or trade certification.
* Proven experience as a carpenter, particularly in window installation.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and building plans.
* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tool operation.
* Good understanding of Australian building codes and safety regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
