Aboriginal Liaison Officer – Karratha Health Campus (KHC) Emergency Department
Working Hours
Full time, part time, permanent or fixed term across various hours per fortnight with possible extensions and/or permanency.
Responsibilities
Provide a liaison service between Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander clients presenting to Karratha Health Campus and WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Pilbara staff. Deliver direct welfare and health services to Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander patients and their families. Empower their independence in their own health care and liaise with other government and non‐government services and Aboriginal/TSI communities on matters related to Aboriginal/TSI health and welfare.
Eligibility
Applicants must be of Aboriginal descent in accordance with Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.
