Our toy library has doubled its membership in the last year and we would like to expand our team so that the Sunbury Toy Library is able to continue to grow in value and accessibility. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit a variety of skill‑sets. Our current volunteers are a great team of local individuals who enjoy the social connection and sense of purpose in being able to help Sunbury children access play.
Responsibilities
* Oversee intake and registration of volunteers
* Contribute to volunteer training (support provided)
* Coordinate volunteer rosters for opening sessions & events
* Coordinate extra volunteer duties outside of borrowing sessions (e.g. cataloguing toys)
* Collaborate with other committee members to keep abreast of Sunbury Toy Library volunteer needs
Desirable Skills
* Good and prompt communicator
* Coordination and people management skills
* Good organisation & time management
Commitment
* Flexible timing; no set hours, you're welcome to contribute during opening sessions, or at a time that suits you
* Flexible location; work from the library or remotely
For extra credit: Help us recruit volunteers – we have a detailed Volunteer Recruitment Plan but are short on volunteer hours to action it
As part of our child‑safe policy all volunteers are required to have a valid WWWC and fill out our volunteer intake forms.
