Permanent, full-time Graduate Law Clerk role in Townsville with Shine Lawyers, offering hands-on legal experience and a focus on social justice.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Working under the guidance of a senior practitioner to gain experience within the legal practice, assisting in representing clients, and providing accurate legal advice.
* Developing the ability to effectively assess claims, including liability and quantum.
* Cultivating strong relationships with clients and peers through exceptional communication.
* Preparing legal documentation with a high degree of detail and assisting with running a file load with commercial and fiscal awareness.
About You
To be successful in this role, candidates will:
* Have completed a law degree prior to the program commencing in February 2026.
* Demonstrate a passion for social justice and an interest in plaintiff law.
* Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Be dedicated to delivering exceptional client service, especially in times of need.
* Effectively manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Show a genuine interest in Shine's areas of practice.
* Bring diversity of experience and evidence of extra-curricular activities aligned with Shine's work, such as volunteering or community work.
* Active membership in relevant associations and paid or unpaid legal work experience will be favourably considered.
