As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Diesels team in South Australia. This full-time position is responsible for installing, overhauling, and conducting maintenance for mechanical features of generating assets and auxiliary plant.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to identify, report, and repair defects, with a focus on continuous improvement. Key tasks will include routine maintenance on Cummins QSK60 and KTA50 diesel engines and auxiliary mechanical plant, as well as undertaking tasks such as welding, fabrication, lubrication, hydraulics, and machining.
A key aspect of this role is contributing to day-to-day work plans to ensure timely delivery. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining records using maintenance management systems.
The role is based on site at Port Stanvac in Lonsdale, but may require working at the Angaston site as needed. This provides an opportunity to gain experience in different locations and environments.
