The Co-Group are currently seeking reliable and compassionate Support Workers to provide daily supports for an NDIS participant within their home and community setting. Experience with mental health conditions is highly regarded for this position. While the participant would ideally prefer a male support worker, female applicants are also encouraged to apply.
Available shifts
* 6:55am – 9:15am
* 1:00pm – 2:15pm
* 5:55pm – 8:15pm
We are particularly seeking workers who are available for Friday and weekend shifts. Duties include PEG feeding during each shift, medication management, dysphagia monitoring, skin integrity monitoring, transport assistance, and domestic support. The successful applicant will provide person‐centred care while supporting the participant's independence, wellbeing, and daily routine.
What you'll do
* Complete all tasks relevant to support work including anything from meal preparation to domestic assistance and client transport
* Empower participants to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible
* Provide direct support in a 1:1 & 2:1 capacity in accordance with the individual's care plan & PBSP
* Maintain detailed and accurate documentation such as shift notes, progress notes, behaviour charts and incident reports
* Follow company policies and procedures
Requirements
* Valid Driver's Licence
* Access to a comprehensive insured car with 5 seats
* NDIS Module – Quality, Safety & You
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) for paid employment
* Blue Card (WWCC) for paid employment
* Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Manage and de‐escalate challenging behaviours using approved techniques
