As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will drive strategy and growth, providing financial leadership to the business. Your role will encompass overseeing the full finance function, including accounting, tax, audit, treasury, FP&A, project accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
* Provide financial guidance to the business, partnering with the CEO and Board to drive strategy and growth.
* Oversee the full finance function, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
* Develop and implement financial models for major projects and business initiatives, leveraging scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and business-case development.
Financial Planning and Analysis
* Establish financial frameworks for project tracking, cost recognition, capital and operational forecasting, variance reporting, and milestone-based billing.
* Manage cash flow, working capital, capital structure, and funding requirements, advising on appropriate financing, investment, and risk management strategies.
* Develop and deliver timely and actionable financial reporting to senior stakeholders and the Board, maintaining the highest standard of integrity and ethics.
Team Leadership and Development
* Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, building capability and embedding best practice processes.
* Continuously improve systems and workflows, maintaining a culture of financial discipline and transparency.
Candidate Profile – Essential Experience & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will offer:
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years in senior financial leadership roles in Australia (or equivalent), ideally including the role of CFO, Financial Director, or Head of Finance.
* Proven track record of working in project-based or multi-entity environments, with strong experience in project accounting, cost recognition, milestone billing, and commercial project financial management.
* Demonstrated capability in financial modelling: developing business cases, scenario planning, sensitivity and risk modelling, and translating model outputs into commercial recommendations.
* Deep experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, cost control, and driving operational/executive decision support.
* Experience building, leading, and developing finance teams, embedding systems and delivering process improvement in growing organisations.
* High level of ethical standards, strong governance mindset, experience dealing with audit, tax, compliance frameworks, and comfortable working with Board and Audit Committees.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance professionals and influence senior leadership.
* Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, commercial acumen, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Experience working in a technology or consulting business.
