Principal Maritime & Coastal Engineer
Maritime at KBR is growing and we currently have an opportunity for a Principal Maritime & Coastal Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most talented and respected engineering teams in Australia.
Working within our National Maritime Team, you will be involved with the design and planning activities for large scale multi‐discipline maritime facilities for a variety of industries, including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability (hydrogen terminals). You will apply your existing experience across these different industries and lead the technical delivery of new and interesting projects, with support from a range of other disciplines across KBR and other partners.
Examples of projects include: AUKUS nuclear‐powered submarine facility upgrades (HMAS Stirling, Perth); Port Bonython Hydrogen Hub, Adelaide; Clump Point Boat Ramp, North Queensland; Port of Brisbane, Wharf 11 & 12; Central Pier, Melbourne.
This role will see you leveraging your maritime & coastal engineering experience to deliver everything from concept designs through to construction phase support. While this is primarily a technical role, your experience in project management, design management and business development will also be useful.
Preference is for the successful candidate to be based in our KBR Fortitude Valley Queensland office; however other KBR office locations may be considered.
