This newly created position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in strengthening our financial operations and supporting the business through its next phase of growth and development.About the role:As the Management Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance and Operations Teams to manage and enhance our financial systems and reporting processes. You’ll be responsible for key day-to-day accounting activities across all Parabellum entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. Your scope will include project reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, payroll support, inventory management, and systems and process improvements.Key Responsibilities:Project & Job CostingTrack and analyze costs across departments and projects.Monitor, calculate and report on project budgets, expenditures, and profitability.Work closely with operations to ensure accurate cost allocations.WIP Analysis and reporting.Recommend areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements.Month-End & Year-End CloseEnsure timely and accurate entry of project transactions.Perform accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and reconciliations.Assist with auditor queries.InventoryMaintain and manage Inventory.DebtorsManage debtor collections and reporting.Maintain and monitor PPSR registrations.Systems & Process ImprovementSupport and assist with the implementation of new accounting system.Review, and improve existing finance procedures, processes and reports.PayrollOversee and support payroll processing and complianceCross-functional SupportPartner with operations teams to provide financial insight and support.Qualifications, Experience and Skills:The ideal candidate will have:3 years + of Management Accounting experienceExperience in Xero or Pronto is advantageousIntermediate to Advanced Excel knowledgeUnderstanding of accounting principle, concepts and practicesStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyExcellent communication, organisation and time management skillsAbility to work well in a team environment and independentlyWhy Join Us?
