About the Role Join UOW as a Lecturer in Polymer Properties and contribute to world‑leading research and high‑quality teaching in polymeric materials. You will play a key role in advancing three funded research projects in smart materials and sustainable technologies, while shaping the learning experience of undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students. This role also includes a unique international secondment opportunity at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) in Copenhagen. Key Responsibilities • Conduct experimental research and data analysis supporting three funded projects in atmospheric water management, artificial muscles, and rubber‑band batteries • Undertake a 6‑month research secondment at DTU in Copenhagen • Develop and deliver high‑quality teaching materials and coursework in polymer properties • Prepare research manuscripts for submission to high‑ranking international journals • Supervise and mentor HDR and undergraduate project students, and contribute to grant applications and School governance About the Team You will join the School of Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences — a collaborative, research‑active environment committed to innovation and real‑world impact. Working closely with the Head of School, senior academics, and multidisciplinary research teams, you’ll contribute to a vibrant community focused on advancing materials engineering and supporting student success.
