Lead Employment and Training Programs That Create Real Community Impact
Multicultural Families Organisation (MFO) is seeking an experienced and motivated Employment and Training Manager to lead the delivery of employment and training initiatives that support culturally diverse communities across the Gold Coast.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing employment and training programs, including Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) initiatives, while building strong pathways between training, employers, and meaningful employment outcomes.
You will work closely with participants, employers, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), community stakeholders, and internal teams to design and deliver programs that genuinely improve people's lives.
About the Role
As the Employment and Training Manager, you will:
* Lead and manage employment and training programs under SQW funding
* Supervise and support a team delivering training and employment initiatives
* Coordinate training programs, workshops, and participant support services
* Build partnerships with employers and community organisations
* Support participants with career development, resumes, interview preparation, and job readiness
* Monitor participant outcomes and program performance
* Maintain compliance, reporting, and accurate participant records
* Manage program budgets and resource allocation
* Identify innovative approaches to improve engagement and employment outcomes
* Work collaboratively across departments to align programs with organisational goals
* Design and assist in the preparation and submission of funding applications for future Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) funding rounds.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Experience managing employment, training, workforce development, and/or SQW-funded programs
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
* Experience building relationships with employers and training providers
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
* Experience with reporting, compliance, and program coordination
* Strong IT and administration skills
Highly Desirable:
* Experience working with culturally diverse communities
* Background in community services, education, employment services, or workforce development
* Qualifications in Business, Human Resources, Education, Community Services, or related fields
Requirements
* Current Driver Licence
* Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
* National Police Check
* Full Australian working rights
