The Opportunity
To support maintenance personnel and project teams in conducting effective maintenance and making appropriate decisions relating to the management of civil assets through effective monitoring of asset performance and condition. This role identifies improvements to the maintenance strategy and provides input into the development of the Annual Works Plan.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure ARTC’s safety and commercial interests are appropriately protected.
2. Maintain track and infrastructure to a fit-for-use standard.
3. Ensure field works are undertaken in accordance with ARTC policy, procedures and standards.
4. Ensure compliance with all mandatory systems and processes.
5. Promote fair and equitable workplace practices and behaviours, creating a discrimination-free workplace in line with legislative requirements.
6. Apply policies and procedures related to human resource management and work health safety in line with Just and Fair Culture.
7. Ensure compliance with ARTC’s Safety Management System (SMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements, responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
8. Promote a safety culture within the team to conform to current work.
9. Adhere to Health and Safety (WH&S;) and relevant rail safety legislation.
What do we want from you?
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or relevant industry experience.
- Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in the management of safety.
Desirable
- Australian standards for track infrastructure including the railway National Code of Practice.
- Knowledge of rail safety management principles.
- Railway safe working systems, principles and audit requirements.
- Qualification or relevant experience with non-destructive testing methods.
