Legal Assistant - Insurance
Our market‑leading Sydney‑based law firm offers a friendly and supportive culture. This is a full‑time permanent role with flexibility where needed. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Legal Assistant with exposure to Workers Compensation law.
About the role
As part of our high‑performing Insurance Team, you will provide comprehensive and proactive support to fee earners, helping manage diaries, file and data management, and client communication. You will work within a close‑knit team known for hard work and fun.
Key responsibilities
- Assist other secretaries with training and overflow.
- Diary and file management.
- Administrative support to partners and fee earners.
- Open and close files.
- Prepare documents and correspondence.
- Input and maintain data in Aderant Expert.
- Draft and amend invoices, support monthly billing.
- Upload advices, action client instructions, coordinate Independent Medical Examinations.
- Liaise with courts, the Personal Injury Commission, and perform other ad‑hoc tasks.
About you
- At least 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant within an insurance law practice or similar role.
- Robust organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A “can do” attitude.
- Ability to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
