Senior Pricing Analyst Personal Lines
We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Actuarial Pricing Analyst to help shape pricing strategy and drive profitable growth across Zurich's product portfolio. In this role, you'll provide expert pricing and underwriting insights, deliver meaningful portfolio performance analysis, and influence decisions that improve underwriting outcomes while supporting both growth and profitability objectives across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with portfolio managers to provide pricing recommendations that deliver target return on equity, including guidance on average pricing, pricing structures, segment relativities and rating methodology.
* Champion innovation and continuous improvement, bringing fresh thinking to pricing approaches while role‐modelling Zurich Basics values in the way you work and collaborate.
* Operate with strong risk and governance discipline by adhering to all regulatory, industry and company requirements, and following the processes used to record, monitor and report breaches in line with the Zurich Risk Policy Manual.
Qualifications & Experience
* A degree in Actuarial Studies or a related discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.
* At least 2 years' experience in the insurance industry, with exposure to pricing, underwriting or portfolio analysis highly regarded.
* Experience working in a multi‐layered management environment will be viewed favourably.
* Strong analytical capability, with the ability to apply statistical and actuarial techniques to identify trends, uncover opportunities, solve problems and interpret complex information with confidence; advanced pricing modelling skills.
* Well‐developed technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, Python, R, SAS and general programming; additional technical capabilities considered an advantage.
* Experience in Personal Lines pricing, particularly Householders is desirable.
* A strong eye for detail and a genuine commitment to quality and accuracy.
