About the role
As a Personal Care Assistant you will report to the Care Coordinator. The position is based in WA Regional areas (including Merredin, Toodyay, Northam, York, Kalgoorlie, etc.) and Perth, WA.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with mobility and communication needs
* Assist patients with personal care such as showering, dressing and eating
* Participate in planning the care of individuals
* Follow therapy plans such as interventions for those with dementia and behavioural problems
* Observe and report changes in patients' condition, and report complaints about care
To be successful you will have
* At least one year full‐time relevant experience (or pro‐rata part‐time or casual work)
* Preferable a relevant AQF Certificate III
* Willingness to travel distance and work various hours
* A road‐worthy and registered vehicle and a current Class C driver's licence
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Empathy with elderly residents
* Commitment to uphold high standards of work
What's on offer
This is a permanent full‐time position. Salary offered is $71,000 – $79,800 plus superannuation, determined by qualifications and experience.
