Position Overview
Queenwood School is seeking an outstanding Director of Sport to lead and inspire its sporting community. This role will provide strategic direction, operational leadership, and a clear vision for the continued growth and success of sport across the School.
This is a permanent, full‐time position commencing Monday, 20 July 2026 (negotiable). Applications will be reviewed as received.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the School's sporting programme in alignment with the curriculum and co‐curriculum.
* Lead and manage all sport‐related staff, volunteers and student participants.
* Provide strategic direction and operational leadership to ensure the quality, safety and effectiveness of all sporting activities.
* Promote resilience, leadership, teamwork and lifelong enjoyment of physical activity among students.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sport into the broader educational mission of Queenwood.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in sports administration or coaching at a secondary or tertiary level.
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strategic programmes with measurable outcomes.
* Current qualification to teach in NSW (NESA accreditation) and valid working with children clearance.
* Legal permission to work in Australia.
