Perioperative Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout – Plastics/ Ortho/ Neuro
We are seeking experienced Scrub Scout Registered Nurses to join a high-performing perioperative team within a modern acute hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne.
Applicants must have recent experience in Scrub Scout roles, with exposure to Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery and/or Orthopaedic surgery. Experience across multiple specialties will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care
* Scrub and scout across a range of surgical specialties
* Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing
* Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider perioperative team
* Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
* Act as a role model for professional practice and compliance with safety standards
* Support patient education related to surgical care and recovery
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a perioperative / scrub scout setting
* Demonstrated experience in Neurosurgery, Plastics and/or Orthopaedics
* Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration
* Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
* Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to high-quality patient care
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a high-functioning team
Desirable Criteria
* Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (or currently working towards)
