An exciting leadership opportunity is now available for an experienced Care Director to join a large, modern aged care residence located in the Bendigo region in Victoria. A relocation allowance is available for eligible candidates.
Please note: This role is based in regional Victoria. Applicants must live locally or be willing to relocate.
About the Role
As the Care Director (Second-in-Charge of the Home), you will work closely with the Residential Aged Care Manager to lead the clinical team and uphold the highest standards of resident care. Drawing on your clinical expertise and leadership capability, you will:
* Oversee the assessment, planning and evaluation of resident care
* Build strong and supportive relationships with residents and their families
* Drive clinical governance, auditing, reporting, and continuous improvement
* Support and develop carers and nurses within a positive learning culture
* Monitor clinical resources and ensure safe, high-quality care delivery
* Contribute to financial and operational management of the home
* Lead by example with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence
What You Bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (mandatory)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a clinical leadership role within a large aged care home
* Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality frameworks and accreditation
* Experience managing teams, budgets, and operational priorities
* A genuine passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians
