About Centrecare
Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services in over 11 locations across the Perth metropolitan, Goldfields and South West regions.
The Role
Qualified and experienced Counsellor who can engage with the community, work with individuals, couples and families affected by problem gambling by providing one on one or group sessions. In this role, you will offer a supportive environment to talk about the impact that gambling has on their lives as well as strategies to learn new ways in managing the behaviour. Working 9am to 5pm during the week and 12pm to 8pm one evening a week.
Selection Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or other related disciplines.
Demonstrated experience in intake and assessment.
Knowledge and experience in brief intervention counselling.
Knowledge and experience in treatments of addiction.
The ability to work autonomously with strong professional boundaries.
Demonstrated ability to work with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Ability to network, negotiate and liaise with external agencies.
National Police Certificate.
Current driver's licence and access own vehicle.
