About the role
We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Port Lincoln. This role is ideal for an early‐career, intermediate or senior accountant looking to develop strong technical skills, gain exposure to a diverse client base, and progress their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
* Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
* Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues.
* Prepares clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed.
* Checks financial statements and management accounts, eliminating adding, referencing and typing errors.
* Helps identify accounting issues.
* Applies basic tax compliance procedures.
* Assists with tax planning for clients.
* Prepares income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
* Completes requisite regulatory forms and complies with lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.
About you
You are detail‐oriented, organised, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. You take pride in delivering high‐quality work and are committed to developing your professional skills.
Qualifications
* A Business or Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
* 2–3 years experience.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Commenced or willingness to commence CA (or equivalent) studies.
