Location: Tresillian Dubbo, 214 Darling Street, Dubbo, NSW
Responsibilities
Provide quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0‐3 years through the Tresillian model of care, practice principles and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health clinicians.
Use a strength‐based and wellness focus to build parental confidence and skills by delivering information, education, resources, guidance, and role‐modeling safe responsive care.
Utilise evidence‐based screening and assessment tools and family partnership skills to identify health variations or family vulnerabilities and negotiate individual care plans and discharge pathways to meet family goals.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of clinicians.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Postgraduate / post‐registration qualifications in Child and Family Health, or actively progressing toward a CFH qualification (evidence of completion of at least two CFH subjects).
* Commitment to evidence‐based practice.
* Experience attending to the physical, social and emotional needs of children and their families.
* Knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.
* Knowledge and understanding of the principles of partnership and of NSW SafeStart within a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Effective verbal and written communication, negotiation skills and computer literacy.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence Class C.
