Offer description

Our client is looking for a Service Desk Officer to join a busy technology support team, providing first‐ and second‐line support to internal users. This on‐site contract role involves incident management and escalation, asset and licence tracking, documentation, device provisioning, and end‐user support, working closely with the Service Desk Team Lead to improve service delivery.

Role Details
* Adelaide based
* 5 days on site exposure in a dynamic, collaborative workplace
* Initial 6‐week contract with strong potential to convert into a permanent role
* This role offers market aligned remuneration
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first‐ and second‐level technical support to internal users
* Coordinate with infrastructure, application and external support teams
* Provision end‐user devices and manage ICT assets and software licences
* Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge base articles and records
* Deliver basic user training and end‐user support
* Monitor systems and report trends to support proactive improvements
* Adhere to service desk procedures, compliance and safety standards
Must‐Have Skills
* Proven helpdesk / service desk experience (first and second line)
* Strong knowledge of Windows desktop OS and MS Office applications
* Comfortable supporting PCs, printers, mobile devices, remote access and telephony
* Excellent customer service communication, able to explain technical issues in plain language
* Strong incident logging, triage and escalation discipline
* Able to manage competing priorities and work independently within team processes
* Basic asset and software licence tracking experience
Good‐Have Skills
* Experience with IT service management tools / ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice)
* Familiarity with basic networking concepts and remote support tooling
* Prior experience in a public‐sector, community or non‐profit environment

Casual Loading – Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
